Kathryn Pritchett

Kathryn Pritchett grew up on a potato farm in rural Idaho. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Arts in English and has written widely for publications like Woman’s Day, the San Francisco Chronicle and Remodelista. Her first-person column ran for fifteen years in the Contra Costa Times and evolved into the lifestyle blog Things Elemental. Her short fiction won Sunstone Magazine’s Starstone Award. Kathryn recently completed and is seeking representation for her first novel, The Casket Maker’s Other Wife, a fictionalized account of her Swiss great-great-grandmother’s polygamous marriage and work as a frontier midwife in 19th century Utah and Idaho. She is a founding member of Paper Lantern Writers.
